A Dream Within A Dream

Some nights I lie there not wanting the day to end because I may not get another day so perfect. Some days I wake up and go back to sleep because I don't want that dream to end. And some people I never want to leave because I don't want to wait to see them again.

Summer Stampede

On Saturday, I had backstage passes to a festival. I must admit, it was exciting. The only thing I regret is not being able to meet my favourite band. I'm sure there will be more oppurtunities... I hope.

So today I went to Brick Lane to get myself some vintage sunglasses as the sun is started to show its face and it's about time it did. From someone who is a fan of winter, I must admit I've missed laying around in my shorts on a lovely warm day. I don't think the weather is about there yet, but it's surely getting there. 

Today, my friend and I discussed something and when the story was retold, we both couldn't agree on how it went. It made me realise how different people interpret situations. Of course, I still think my story is the right story, but I'm sure she thinks the same. Do you not wonder whether things would be different if we didn't see things our way, but the right way. I'm sure friendships and relationships may last that little longer. You're probably thinking 'why is she stating something so obvious', but it's just a thought. Most people get in to disagreements feeling like the victim,  but there can't be two victims. As the common quotes goes, 'Don't believe in everything you hear or you see, there are always three sides to every story. Your's, theirs and the truth...'.

2013 Prom

Growing up is fun, but it's so hard to find yourself. You're meant to figure out what you want to be and do when you can't even figure out what to wear in the mornings. I know I am still young, but I spent must of my young life wanting to be the age I am now. I wish I had known to enjoy being young. When I was little my one worry was figuring out who I was going to play with the next day and now, out of nowhere, I have 'responsibilities'. 

The shocking with growing up is that the change is gradual. When did I stop climbing the monkey bars? When did I stop believing in santa? Where did my dummy go? Someone please tell me the time and place I grew up because I have no clue as to when this happened. 

Heeeeeelllo World

I'm finally free and have no idea what to do with myself. After my Physics exam, I plied out of the exam hall. Of course I was given a few of the odd stares, but who cares? I'm gone, gone forever. And very soon, I'll be off to Africa for 12 months to do charity work so  I've got to make this summer as exciting as possible. What's something I NEED to do before I go?

So what's new to me this week?

1. Vampire Weekend - Diane Young

I have been waiting for Vampire Weekend to release something new for quite some time now. Their music is always unique. I cannot wait for their album!

2. Ambassadors - Unconsolable

Someone new and just my type. It is a shame that uncosolable is not a word, but since I like the song, they are forgiven.

3. Paramore - Still Into You

This one is definitely appealing to the young Precious who was totally obsessed with this band. I know it is not one of their best, but it has been in my head ever since I have heard it. It is a catchy little thing!
