Honestly and truelly... this question is something I wonder everyday. Style does not actually have any rules and people interpret things to be different. One person might like weating orange socks with a red skirt while someone else (including me) would find that revolting. So who makes up the rules? And who decided what right or wrong? And why are we all so different yet so the same?
Even the people who say they do not care about fashion, at the back of their minds they also do. At the end of the day when you wake up in the morning and you feel fat and dull you will wear something totally different to when you feel sexy and cofident... that's just human nature.
"Fashion is a state of mind. A spirit, an extension of one's self. Fashion talks, it can be an understated whisper, a high-energy scream or an all knowing wink and a smile. Most of all fashion is about being comfortable with yourself, translating self-esteem into a personal style."
"It's just clothes, get the f over it!"
Overated things fade away has fashion been here as long as man has existed because it is not just clothes. So it is not overatted it is what it is. a way of expressing your self and being different from others. You can express your mood, your style, your intrest and generally anything with it.
But honestly who makes it what it is? YOU!
